Tour Dates: Rush to Play Moving Pictures on Summer Tour

I had a moment last night that could have been straight out of a scene from I Love You, Man. Me and a few friends were having some beers and chatting at a friend’s house-warming get together when one of us mentioned that Rush had just announced their tour dates and that they were coming through the Bay Area the weekend after Phish plays three shows in Berkeley. I enthusiastically gushed about how much I love Rush and that I would absolutely go if someone says they want to go as well, and both friends immediately responded with, “I’ll go!” Then I had a rush of cliched embarassment which I quickly killed with another chug of my beer. Then I think I said “slappin’ da bass!”
So there you have it. Rush is returning to the road this summer to play their Moving Pictures album in its entirety. And I should be there to finally fulfill my high school obsession that was listening to Rush way more than my friends wanted me to.
