LimeWire Store Celebrates Record Store Day With The Soundtrack of Our Lives

Don’t get the idea that just because LimeWire Store exists in a virtual world we can’t get our hands dirty on the physical plane to participate properly in Record Store Day (which is tomorrow, in case you weren’t aware). So while you can indeed avail yourself of our brand spankin’ new, Live At Lime exclusive Soundtrack of Our Lives EP in digital form, we’ve also broken the fourth wall of digital media and made it available as a physical release (in CD format) in solidarity with the day’s events.
For those poor, benighted souls out there who don’t already know, Swedish band The Soundtrack of Our Lives has been crafting modern psychedelic masterworks since the mid ’90s. Though they’ve got a new project in the hopper with a target date of 2011, their most recent album is 2008’s Communion. For our EP, the band has revisited some of the tracks from that record in brand new versions, and sweetened the pot by throwing in a previously unreleased song, “Galaxy Gramophone.” So the next time some Luddite starts ranting about online music stores drowning out the brick-and-mortars, you can respond by waving a CD by a certain celestially inclined Swedish ensemble right in their self-satisfied noses. Long live the album, EP, and single in all their forms. Now go out and buy some records!
