Free MP3: Casiokids – “Finn Bikkjen!”
One of these days I’m going to make it to Norway so I can geek out and soak up the plethora of great music emanating from that amazing country. If I survive an excursion into the depths of Norway’s brutal death-metal scene, my plan is to switch things up and take it to a lighter, more electronic level, by checking out Datarock, Rökysopp, and Annie. Electro-pop quintet Casiokids recently popped up on my radar, and I wholeheartedly recommend their U.S. debut album, Topp stemning på lokal bar, which is out digitally on Polyvinyl. The art-dance outfit just released a cool video for “Finn Bikkjen!,” one of the fine nuggets from the album, and it’s quite a little ditty. “Finn Bikkjen!” is apparently Norwegian for “Find Dogs!” If Google’s translation feature is correct, feel free to vaff along to it.
