Twisted Metal PS3 Announced With Gameplay Trailer

Sony had a nice surprise announcement at the recent E3 2010. Twisted Metal is coming back in a big way on the PlayStation 3.
Anew Twisted Metal game had long been rumored to be in development and denied by its creator David Jaffe. That was all before he came out on stage at Sony's E3 2010 press conference and dropped the bomb.
The new PlayStation 3 exclusive Twisted Metal game will feature 16 players online and 2-4 player local split screen action. As you can see from the gameplay video they released it will feature all new vehicles and weapons to play with. There are quite a few crazy weapons on display including what appears to be remote control gurney with patient attached that you can explosively drive into other players and a hearse that can shoot coffins. Helicopters are another awesome addition to the franchise and you can see them raining bullets down from above in the video. Sweet Tooth will obviously make his triumphant return and it looks like his vehicle can now transform into a gun wielding robot. The gameplay looks awesome and fans of the series should be really excited about the announcement.
No official released date for the new Twisted Metal game except for sometime in 2011 but it will be exclusively released on the PlayStation 3. Check out the gameplay trailer after the jump.Read more…
