Crytek: Crysis 2 has ‘the most advanced AI system in a game’

Crytek is adding a lot of extra bells and whistles to Crysis 2, and chief among those is an upgraded enemy AI. So, just how smart will your enemies be? Pretty damn smart, or so Crytek boss Cevat Yerli says.
“We have the most advanced AI system in a game,” Yerli told CVG. “We think that Crysis 2 has the most advanced AI for both humans and aliens you’ve ever seen. They will be showing tactical co-ordination, they will be more challenging but not unfair – they will be truly intelligent, thinking, fair enemies.”
Yerli further stated that even though Crysis 2 will give players a lot of freedom in how they approach obstacles, the game’s enemies will also take advantage of that. These aren’t your usual cannon fodder but “an enemy that adapts to freedom and provides you constant challenge no matter what you do.”
