Bad-girl rapper Foxy Brown was arrested yesterday outside of her home in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. She was cuffed for having violated a restraining order placed against her by neighbor Arlene Raymond. Brown reportedly asked, “Bitch, what are you looking at?” and lifted up her skirt. Raymond had placed the restraining order after an incident in 2007 in which Brown threw her BlackBerry at her, busting Raymond’s lip, knocking a tooth loose, and bruising her eye.
Brown previously served time in a New York City prison after violating her probation for getting in a fight with manicurists at a beauty salon in 2004. In the past she has also been either convicted for or accused of getting in a fight with hotel workers in North Carolina, driving without a license, punching a policewoman, assaulting a beauty supply store employee, and almost running over a woman and her baby. Today, she pleaded “not guilty” and was released from the 77th Precinct on $5,000 bail. She plans to still perform at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on Sunday. Her next court date is July 27th. If convicted, she faces up to seven years in jail.
