PlayStation Game Runners Public Open Day

PlayStation has been running (pun unintended) a Game Runners scheme to create games in real life and not just on PlayStation . They recently held a competition to decide which game was the best and Blocks won.
A description of Blocks; “It’s an epic faceoff between two opponents who take it in turns to stack blocks in a two-column tower.
Every face of every block has a PlayStation symbol stamped on it. When a player stacks a block, the symbols on the touching faces must match. So the higher the tower, the harder it gets. If a player topples the tower, or runs out of time, they lose the battle.”
Sounds like a mixture of O’s and X’s with a bit of Jenga thrown in for good measure! If you want to try Blocks out for yourself then you can as on Friday the 8th October Blocks is playable at Ely’s Yard, The Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1.
A photo of Blocks in action and full details are after the jump;

Anyone can drop in and try BLOCKS and take part in our competition. Please register your attendance online via our Facebook fan page or on event site between 12pm and 6.30pm.
We would love to hear your thoughts about BLOCKS via our Facebook fan page, we would also like to announce the Twitter hashtag #PlayStationGameRunners where we welcome your tweets on the day.
Throughout the afternoon an exciting live paint session will be conducted by End of the Line; a collective of skilled aerosol artists, designers, illustrators, photographers and producers who create breathtaking large scale commissions and conceptual designs. You can see them in action here.
