Red Sox and White Sox Finish Series
The Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox have more in common this season then nicknames referencing the shade of their hosiery. Both the Red Sox and White Sox are over .500 teams who have come up short of the playoffs. The Red Sox have spent most of the 2010 season out of serious contention in the AL East, while the White Sox have fallen out of the AL Central race all together. Boston and Chicago will square off tonight at US Cellular Field with the series sitting at 2-1 in the White Sox’s favor. Although the way you play at the end of the season can find a way to carry over to next year, tonight’s series finale is largely meaningless. At least the White Sox’s rival the Chicago Cubs are have a terrible season. Red Sox fans have to deal with the Yankees making the playoffs and possibly winning another World Series. It’s going to be a long winter in Beantown. Let’s go Celtics!
