Angry Birds for Android leaves beta, full version now available for free!

Angry Birds for Android has just shed its beta tag, and there's more good news for lovers of Rovio's quirky little trajectory game: it's totally free right now, thanks to GetJar. As with a lot of mobile apps “totally free” means “ad supported,” and there will be in-game purchase options as well — like the Mighty Eagle.

GetJar is getting hammered at the moment, which is no surprise. Angry Birds' popularity coupled with a free download of the full version is a volatile mix.

Hopefully GetJar will add server capacity soon — their giveaways have been very well-received so far, and traffic could very well skyrocket as more Android users find out what they're up to.

It's a good thing Google expanded those payment options, eh? What with GetJar doing their best to make sure hot, new games are given away like AOL floppies in the 1990s…
