Gameloft ports old iPhone titles to the Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galaxy Tab features virtually identical hardware as the Galaxy S, which means it sports the same 1 GHz Hummingbird processor that includes one of the fastest mobile graphics processors we have tested.
Gameloft will put that speedy GPU to use with the announcement that three of their older HD games have already been ported to the 7-inch tablet. The launch titles include Asphalt 5 HD, N.O.V.A. HD, and Let’s Golf! HD but it appears the entire library of Android HD games might eventually find their way on the Tab according to the background image of their Twitter page.
Unfortunately, Gameloft is sticking with their policy of only selling these games on their website for now. Users must enter their phone number to receive a text message with a download link, but the U.S. versions of the Tab do no support voice calls so I’m sure Gameloft is working on another distribution method.
It doesn’t look like you will see these HD games on the official Android Market anytime soon, but I’ve seen some rumors that suggest they might be coming to Verizon’s V Cast app store (which will be included on their version of the Tab).
Gameloft is currently releasing their second-generation of HD games (like N.O.V.A 2) for the iPhone and iPad which look AMAZING, so hopefully we will see some Android ports soon.
