Beck Wants You To Choose Record Club Tracklisting

If you’re all burnt out from the pre-election ‘get out the vote’ bullying and post-election aftermath, maybe a little low-stakes, musically-based voting will bring you back around.
Beck started this little project called Record Club at the beginning of the year with a bunch of famous musician friends, (you know, Jeff Tweedy, Feist, St. Vincent, Thurston Moore — the gang!), the goal being to record an album in a day, not worrying too much about polished post-production, but instead documenting what happens when musicians lay down a cover without preparation or rehearsal. The industrious artist has posted one track a week from albums that range from Songs of Leonard Cohen to The Velvet Underground and Nico to Yanni: Live at the Acropolis (for real). And now, with so many songs to choose from, he’s asking for the people’s help in deciding which tracks make the cut for the first official Record Club album.
Go here to cast your vote. (I’m gunning for the Liars/St.Vincent cover of INXS’ “Need You Tonight.”)
