Rolling Stones to Tour and Record in 2011

Given the Rolling Stones age-defying history of non-stop touring and prolific musical output, I suppose it’s no big surprise that they will continue to gather no moss in 2011…but it sure is impressive.
In an interview with the BBC, Keith Richards confirmed that the venerable rockers have a tour in the works for next year, as well as a full album which will include “gems from the vaults” and maybe even some new material. Said Richards, “Knowing Mick [Jagger] as I do, he’s a very prolific writer. I have ideas [too] and we’ll put them together in December or January.”
Not a lot of specifics from the most weathered of Stones, but I don’t imagine Keith is much of an embellisher. Heck, look at the guy’s career — he doesn’t have to be. We can always read his new autobiography, concisely titled Life, to find out for sure.
