First Details of Darksiders 2!
Finally after years we have news on the sequal to the sleeper hit Darksiders. I personally passed off on the game for about a year or more until I finally picked it up and found out first hand what a great game this was. Can’t wait for the 2nd.
Darksiders 2 is still a ways off, but that hasn’t stopped THQ from dropping a few details for fans.
Speaking at the IGDA conference in San Francisco last week, THQ VP of Core Games Danny Bilson teased some information about the sequel. He said players won’t be taking control of War, the first game’s protagonist and one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
“It’s a different character and takes place simultaneously to the first game’s story, because there’s only one apocalypse, and has new mechanics and features that differentiate it a lot and grow it from the first game.”
“You have to build on the first one; you can’t repeat it and I think that’s very important in franchise building.”
SPOILER ALERT AFTER THE JUMP!
This is odd because at the end of Darksiders, we see the other 3 horsement heading to Earth. That means they were not on Earth while War was there. So if the sequal is taking place at the exact same time as War’s adventure…who are we playing?
