School of Seven Bells Stripped It Down Back in 2008

No one likes those a-holes who claim they were into bands waaaay before they became popular, so excuse us for sounding like one for this post. Way back in 2008, we fell hard for School of Seven Bells and their Ghostly International debut Alpinisms. So hard , in fact, we invited the band into the studio between their CMJ gigs to record some stripped-down versions of our favorite songs. Fast forward a few years and the band has signed to venerable indie label Vagrant, are appearing on Jimmy Fallon, and have stopped returning our calls. We totally saw that coming.
