NBC TV show The Cape debuts on the iPad

NBC introduced a new TV show yesterday, although it made its debut not in the Peacock's schedule, but in DC Comics' iPad app.

Confused? The Cape, a new TV show about a cop who is wrongfully accused of a crime and becomes a secret crime fighter, is set to premiere this Sunday on NBC. However, iPad users can already watch its pilot episode by downloading the DC Comics app. You'll be able to watch the one-hour pilot on the iPad until Saturday. The Cape, while not based on a DC Comics character, is inspired by one, so that's where the connection between the show and the app comes from.

NBC's purpose here was “to create some pre-premiere buzz with fans who have the capacity to be ambassadors”, according to Adam Stotsky, President of Marketing for NBC Entertainment, quoted by Mashable. Now it's up to you to prove whether their plan worked or not.
