Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo coming 'in a few weeks'

Jay Sullivan, Mozilla's vice president of products, has told the IDG News Service at the Mobile World Congress that Firefox 4 for Android will ship in a few weeks. We should expect to see one more beta version this week, and then the final build soon after.

Sullivan also tells IDG about Firefox for Mobile's extensive feature set — 150 add-ons will be available! — and Mozilla's overall move to a faster, quarterly release cycle.

Android already has a lot of competent browsers, but an HTML5-rendering, hardware-accelerated and sync-enabled offering would blow the rest of the competition out of the water.Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo coming 'in a few weeks'
