Most Anticipated Games of 2011 to be present during the San Diego Comic-Con

It’s about that time again. For those of you who may not be familiar with the San Diego Comic-Con here’s a brief rundown. SDCC has been around for 40 years and it is a non profit organization. It was first established as a comic book convention but now has grown to everything pop culture including video games. You guy’s are probably thinking “nerd alert” right?.. Well you’re wrong my friends. Last year we saw the likes of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 character reveals, Street Fighter x Tekken reveal, and a Konami costume contest overseen by Hideo Kojima himself. Lets not forget the crazy Marvel Vs. Capcom party last year that was attended by yours truly and the likes of Seth Rogen and Kelly Hu. This year should be filled with over the top presentations from the top names of the industry. The games and publishers booths may not be as elaborate as E3 but they get the job done.

The San Diego convention center is not as big as the Los Angeles convention center but during the 4 day event, over 100,000 people walk the exhibit hall and those who are avid video game fans account for those numbers. Some of the major publishers and game companies this year include Sony, Konami, Capcom, Ubisoft, Activision, and Electronic Arts. SDCC just released the exhibitor map and I’m sure the full schedule will be up this week. Yours truly and Mr. Oly will be at this event! So let us know what are you excited about and what you want to see?
Konami is going to have a character costume contest and Hideo Kojima, Yoji Shinkawa, and Yumi Kuchiki will be on hand signing autographs. I also suspect they will present the new Play Arts Kai versions Snake and Grey Fox as they have been tweeting the pictures as of late.
Activision of course will have a booth dedicated to Call of Duty modern warfare 3. EA most likely Battlefield 3 and Madden 2012. Ubisoft always has a strong presence dedicating their whole booth with at least 12 stations of probably Assassins Creed Revelations.
Stay tuned as more information is released. Follow me on twitter @paulfierce as I will be tweeting from event!
