When we last saw the Acer Iconia Tab A501 it was packing AT&T’s 3G and pretty much the same exact specs as the it’s A500 brother. Well, it looks like Acer may be updating the A501 if this FCC Permissive Change notice is any indication. Among some smaller changes like new touch and image sensors, we see a surprising increase in storage space — now a whopping 64GB.This update will make the Acer Iconia Tab A501 the only Android tablet offering 64GB out of the box, finally pushing it into that higher end category to compete with the iPad 2 64GB (also on AT&T).[Via WirelessGoodness]
