ComiXology Brings DC Comics App to Android

DC Comics and comiXology have teamed up to bring all of your favorite characters from the DC Universe into the palm of your hand. The new Android app pulls from the extensive DC Comics and Vertigo catalog to provide over 3,000 issues ranging in price from $0.99 to $2.99. Issues can be purchased via the Android Market’s in-app billing. In a nod to cross-platform friendliness, purchasing a comic from the app instantly makes it available to you on the Web or via an iOS device as well.Personally, I’ve always been more of a Marvel man myself, but you have to support comiXology’s efforts to bring comics into the digital age and perhaps save an industry that is seemingly floating by on the profits of their movie franchises alone. Speaking of which, anyone check out that new Batman trailer?Android Market
