Steve Jobs, 1955-2011
As you all probably know by now, Steve Jobs passed away this evening. Though Android enthusiasts may not have always seen eye-to-eye with Apple and Jobs, we can’t deny that the innovations and contributions they made helped push and shape Android–and many other technologies–into what they are today.
Our hearts go out to his family and those he mentored and inspired.
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
