LittleBigPlanet Vita Is Bigger Than Its PS3 Counterparts
SackBoy’s next adventure through CraftWorld may be on the small screen but according to Executive Producer Pete Smith it’s still one “crazily big” game. Speaking to NowGamer at the PS Vita Experience event last week, Smith stated that LittleBigPlanet Vita is bigger than both PlayStation 3 versions of the platformer.
“LittleBigPlanet [Vita] is bigger than LittleBigPlanet 1 and LittleBigPlanet 2.” “It’s got the full toolset from both games, it’s crazily big. And then we’ve got all of the sharing that you previously had, plus a whole set of new levels. That is gigantic on a handheld device. Smartphones can’t compete with that. They just can’t.”
Smith goes on to say that LittleBigPlanet Vita isn’t a port of the PS3 games. Because the game is being developed with the Vita in mind level-sharing and creation won’t be cross-platform. PS3 and PS Vita owners will still be able to play LBP Vita together, though. Sony has yet to set a date for LittleBigPlanet Vita’s release.
